Admission to candidature for the Graduate Diploma in Crosscultural and Applied Linguistics requires:

• a bachelor's degree or higher award from the University of Sydney, or a qualification deemed by the faculty to be equivalent; or
• completion of the requirements of the embedded graduate certificate in this discipline or qualifications deemed by the faculty to be equivalent.

Admission to the course requires:

• a medical degree from the University of Sydney or an equivalent qualification
• appropriate medical indemnity
• completion of the requirements of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, and be eligible to undertake a subspecialty fellowship in the final year of accredited training; or applicants must be registered to practice ophthalmology in their state, territory or country
• registration to practice ophthalmology in their state, territory or country.

A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), OR approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses.

Admission to the course requires you to:

• hold a pre-registration nursing degree from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification
• be a registered nurse in Australia
• have a minimum of one year's experience as a Registered Nurse
• be working in an intensive care nursing environment and must provide a statement of support from their supervisor or manager in order to undertake the required clinical assessments.

To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have:

• an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree with a 65 percent average, or equivalent qualification, in a related field of engineering to which the student is applying.

Admission to the Graduate Certificate in Creative Writing requires:

• a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification; or
• equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.

You will need to include a portfolio of 1,500 to 3,000 words of prose writing or 10 to 15 pages of poetry with your application. These components are crucial to assessing your application.
