University of New England (UNE) Courses

A candidate shall:

(a) hold an AQF Level 7 Bachelor qualification in any discipline; or

(b) if no bachelor qualification, hold an AQF Level 8 or higher qualification in any discipline (applications made under rule (b) will be assessed by the Course Coordinator for eligibility).

Applicants must meet the University's English Language Requirements for Admission Rule.

A candidate shall:

(a) hold an AQF Level 7 Bachelor qualification; or

(b) hold an AQF Level 7 Bachelor qualification from a recognised University in a relevant discipline*; or

(c) hold an AQF Level 8 Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Bachelor with Honours qualification in a relevant discipline*.

*Relevant disciplines include, but are not limited to:

Agribusiness

Agriculture

Agricultural Economics

Animal Science

Botany

Rural Science

Zoology

A candidate shall:

(a) hold an AQF Level 7 Bachelor qualification in a relevant discipline*; or

(b) hold an AQF Level 8 Graduate Certificate in a relevant discipline*; or

(c) hold an AQF Level 8 Graduate Diploma or a Bachelor with Honours in a relevant discipline*; or

(d) satisfy UNE by means of other relevant professional experience by submitting a Statement of Service from your employer/s and a resume outlining a minimum of three years' full-time (or equivalent) relevant professional experience and training taken in the past 10 years**.

Applicants admitted under rule (d) must submit a Statement of Service.

*Relevant disciplines include, but are not limited to:

Science; Medicine; Psychology; Nursing; Social work; Education; Health; Counselling; or other similar disciplines as determined by the course coordinator.

**The professional experience and training referred to will be in areas of human behaviour and remediation in one or more of the relevant disciplines.

1. Admission to the Pathways Enabling Course will be open to candidates who are not admissible to a course and who intend to seek admission to an undergraduate course; or

2. Candidates:

(a) who have not successfully completed a course leading to an award of the University; and

(b) who state that completion of this Enabling Course will make them better prepared to undertake an undergraduate course; and

(c) who intend to seek admission to an undergraduate course.

A candidate shall:

(a) be qualified for admission (see Admission Undergraduate and Postgraduate (Coursework) Rule and Admission Undergraduate and Postgraduate (Coursework) Procedures); or

(b) hold an AQF Level 5 Diploma in Arts from UNE.

Admission to the TRACKS tertiary preparation program will be open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates:

(a) who are not admissible to a course and who intend to seek admission to an undergraduate course; or

(b) who state that completion of this enabling course will make them better qualified to undertake an undergraduate degree and who intend to seek admission to an undergraduate degree; or

(c) who have unsuccessfully attempted an undergraduate course previously and who state that completion of this enabling course will make them better qualified to undertake an undergraduate course.

A candidate shall be qualified for admission (see Admission Undergraduate and Postgraduate (Coursework) Rule and Admission Undergraduate and Postgraduate (Coursework) Procedures).

Assumed knowledge: Mathematics.

Recommended studies: Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics.

For students without the recommended background knowledge, the School offers introductory units in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.

(b) hold an approved overseas qualification under the Articulation Programs; or

(c) hold an approved qualification* from an Australian TAFE or Registered Training Organisation; or

(d) hold an AQF Level 5 Diploma of Military Leadership DEF51512 or Diploma of Leadership DEF51115 or other recognised Australian Defence Force approved relevant Diploma, plus completion of the Australian Defence Force Army All-Corps Captain or Sergeant or Warrant Officer or Chief Petty Officer course, plus at least four years Australian Defence Force work experience; or

For International Students studying at UNE Sydney Campus:

(e) be an international student and be qualified for admission (see Admission Undergraduate and Postgraduate (Coursework) Rule and the Admission Undergraduate and Postgraduate (Coursework) Procedures) and be studying on a full-time fee-paying basis at the UNE Sydney campus.
