Domestic applicants with higher education study

To be eligible for an offer, applicants must have:

  • Completed an undergraduate degree (AQF7) from an Australian higher education institution or equivalent.

Domestic applicants with VET / TAFE study

This course does not admit students on the basis of VET / TAFE study.

Domestic applicants with work and life experience

Applicants may be eligible for an offer if they have at least 3 years relevant work experience, or a record of high achievement in other study, or life experiences which demonstrate a capacity to succeed in this course.

This course is delivered by the University of Tasmania International Pathway College. Powered by UP Education, the University of Tasmania International Pathway College provides a range of bridging programs for you to successfully study your chosen degree at the University of Tasmania.
Entry Requirements

Students must meet the existing stated academic entry requirements set by UTAS Admissions and have an IELTS of 5.5 (with no band less than 5.5) or equivalent.
XPD127 requires Year 12 Maths or equivalent.

Graduate Certificate

The Graduate Certificate in Research has been introduced by the University to assist Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates systematically acquire the skills and training they need to complete their research.
Entry Requirements

Admission to the Graduate Certificate in Research requires concurrent admission to a Higher Degree by Research at the University of Tasmania, such as the Doctor of Philosophy or Masters by Research.

HDR Candidates are automatically admitted to the Graduate Certificate and are enrolled concurrently with their HDR course.

Masters (Coursework)

From 2018, all new students will undertake their studies with a specialisation in Leadership, through the Master of Education (Specialisation) course. The course will be offered full time or part time by distance on-line, Launceston.
Entry Requirements

The University requires applicants for admission to the Master of Education (Leadership) to hold a recognised relevant bachelor degree or equivalent qualification together with 2 or more years of relevant professional experience.
