This course does not use ATAR as part of the admission process. To be an eligible for an offer, applicants must have completed the Tasmanian Certificate of Education (TCE) or an equivalent qualification.

Domestic applicants with higher education study

To be eligible for an offer, you must have:

  • Partially completed an undergraduate course at Diploma level or higher (or equivalent). You must have completed at least one unit of study (equivalent to 12.5 UTAS credit points) at 100 level or higher and which may include 100 level units completed in the UTAS Diploma of University Studies. If you have failed any units, your application may be subject to further review before an offer is made; OR
  • Completed the UTAS University Preparation Program (or an equivalent qualification offered by an Australian University).

Domestic applicants with VET / TAFE study

To be eligible for an offer, you must have completed a completed Certificate III or higher (or equivalent) in any discipline.

Applications on the basis of work or life experience

Applicants without senior secondary, tertiary or VET / TAFE study can complete a personal competency statement.

Applicants may be eligible for an offer if they have relevant work and / or life experiences which demonstrate a capacity to succeed in this course.

Entry into the Graduate Certificate in Organisational Resilience degree requires;

Admission to most postgraduate coursework courses at the University of Tasmania require qualifications equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree. Bachelor of Arts pathway

Students who do not receive an offer for the Bachelor of Laws are encouraged to enrol in the Bachelor of Arts or other Bachelor's degree with an elective component such as the Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Science and complete 50 credit points including:

  • 25 credit points of Introductory (100-level) Law units and
  • 25 credit points of other Introductory (100-level) units.

Students who pass all their units will be offered a place in the Bachelor of Laws and will be eligible for credit for completed units. We recommend students complete two Law Core units in their pathway course to enable completion of the Bachelor of Laws within the normal timeframes.

Other students with higher education study

To be eligible for an offer, applicants must have either:

  • Completed a course at Bachelor level or higher at any Australian higher education provider (or an equivalent overseas qualification) or;
  • partially completed an undergraduate course at Bachelor level or higher (or equivalent). Applicants must have completed at least eight units of study (equivalent to 100 UTAS credit points) with a minimum grade point average of 4.0 on a seven-point scale.

General Entry Requirements

Admission to undergraduate courses at the University of Tasmania requires the completion of qualifications equivalent to a 12th year of education in Australia.

Students who do not receive an offer for the Bachelor of Laws will be assessed for a packaged offer for the Bachelor of Arts leading to the Bachelor of Laws and complete 50 credit points including:

Masters (Coursework)

This program builds on career entry undergraduate studies in Paramedicine to expand the clinical knowledge and scope of paramedics, enabling them to further their professional careers in areas addressed by a range of specialisations.

To be eligible for an offer applicants must have:

An AQF level 7 (or equivalent) career entry level undergraduate degree in Paramedicine from an approved tertiary institution.
