University of Sydney (USYD) Courses

To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have:

• an Australian bachelor's degree with a credit average (65 percent) in a quantitative discipline or equivalent qualification, or
• an Australian bachelor's degree (with honours) or equivalent qualification

Admission to this course requires

• a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney or an equivalent qualification.

Graduate Certificate students may apply to upgrade to the Diploma or Masters at the completion of their program (with a weighted average mark of at least 65).

For admission to this course, you should have a Bachelor degree from any discipline with a credit average.

Applicants who do not meet the requirements for admission into the Master of Sustainability may wish to consider applying for entry into the Graduate Diploma in Sustainability

To be considered for admission, an applicant is required to have:

• an Australian bachelor's degree in commerce, business or related discipline with a credit average (65 percent) or equivalent qualification, or
• an Australian bachelor's degree or higher in commerce, business or related discipline (minimum 50 percent average) or equivalent qualification, and satisfactory performance in the GMAT (for guidance, the class average score is 630), or
• an Australian bachelor's degree in any discipline with a credit average (65 percent) or equivalent qualification and a minimum of one-year relevant work experience, or
• an Australian bachelor's degree with honours or higher in any discipline with a credit average (65 percent) or equivalent qualification, or
• the University of Sydney Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate in Commerce with a credit average (65 percent).

Admission requires a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification.

A successful applicant for admission to the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Nursing must:

• hold a pre-registration nursing degree from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification
• be a registered nurse.

To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have:

• an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree in the relevant discipline with a credit average (65 percent) or equivalent qualification, or
• an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent, and five years relevant professional work experience, or
• the relevant University of Sydney Graduate Diploma in Engineering or Graduate Certificate in Engineering with a credit average (65 percent).

Admission to this course requires:

• a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney, or equivalent qualification and a minimum of 1 year work experience in a health or policy related field; or
• have completed the requirements of the embedded graduate certificate, or equivalent qualification

To be considered for admission, an applicant is required to have:

• an Australian bachelor's degree or higher with a credit average (65 percent) or equivalent qualification or
• an Australian bachelor's degree or higher with less than a credit average (minimum 50 percent required), and satisfactory performance in the GMAT (for guidance, the class average score is 630) or equivalent Business School approved admissions test.

A successful applicant for admission to the Graduate Diploma of Brain and Mind Sciences will:

• hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification and, where required, satisfactorily perform at an interview.

Admission to the course requires:

• medical degree from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification
• current medical registration in an Australian or New Zealand jurisdiction
• current or prior employment as a medical practitioner in a clinical setting in an Australian or New Zealand jurisdiction.

To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have:

• an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree with a 65 percent average, or equivalent qualification or
• an Australian bachelor's degree in a non-Engineering discipline with a 65 percent average, with studies equivalent to 48 credit points (equivalent to 1 year full time study load) in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geology, computing or statistics, as related to the stream sought for admission.
