To be eligible for admission, applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
  • Must be completing year 12 in the year of applying (first year attempted).
  • Have achieved a minimum adjusted Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 95, or equivalent. Special adjustments to ATAR are available to eligible applicants via UniSQ's Other admission considerations. A maximum of five (5) adjustment points can be applied to an applicant's ATAR.
  • Pre-requisite study: English, Literature, English and Literature Extension or English as an Additional Language (Units 3 and 4, C); General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods or Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 and 4, C)
  • Recommended prior study: one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics (Units 3 and 4, C)
  • Complete the University Clinical Aptitude Test for Australia and New Zealand (UCAT ANZ). Shortlisted applicants from UCAT scores will also be required to attend multiple mini-interviews (MMIs). Interview information

Applicants will need to bring:

  • a head shot-style photo of yourself
  • a school exit statement, or evidence of previous education standard achieved.
  • a portfolio of work to the interview. This should contain at least 8-10 high quality images of past artwork. Please note: it is not necessary to bring the physical work.
  • If you don't have an ATAR, please bring a written statement (500 words) addressing your interest, goals, and aspirations in studying visual arts, with some reflection on your visual art experiences and training.
