Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours

The Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours is designed to provide students with training in scientific method and in the verbal and written communication of scientific results.

Students carry out a research project which may be conducted at other sites within Australia, provided the candidate is able to attend the seminars and has a supervisor from the University of New England willing to oversee their progress.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

1. develop research questions and generate research findings designed to address questions relevant to the health of individuals, communities and populations;
2. participate in the pursuit of excellence in research practice;
3. be effective problem solvers, capable of applying typical, critical and creative thinking to a range of research problems;
4. work both autonomously and collaboratively as researchers; and
5. communicate effectively as researchers.
