Graduate Certificate

Applicants for the Graduate Certificate in Education (Languages Education) must normally hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution. In addition, applicants are normally required to have completed at least a minor sequence in any foreign language (including TESOL), consisting of four university-level topics covering first and second/third year levels undertaken over a minimum of two years of study, or have had at least one year’s teaching experience in any foreign language in a school or other approved institution.

Masters

Applicants must normally hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution. In addition, applicants are normally required to have completed at least a minor sequence in any foreign language (including TESOL), consisting of four university-level topics covering first and second/third year levels undertaken over a minimum of two years of study, or have had at least one year’s teaching experience in any foreign language in a school or other approved institution.

Masters [1.5 years]

Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree in education, teaching or a closely related discipline. In addition, applicants are normally required to have completed at least a minor sequence in any foreign language (including TESOL), consisting of four university-level topics covering first and second/third year levels undertaken over a minimum of two years of study, or have had at least one year’s teaching experience in any foreign language in a school or other approved institution.

Graduate Certificate

Applicants to the graduate certificate program must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification in a health profession from an approved tertiary institution.

Graduate Diploma

Applicants to the graduate diploma must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification and must be registered nurses in Australia. Applicants who are registered as nurses in a country other than Australia must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification and may be admitted.

Masters

Applicants to the masters must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification and must be registered nurses in Australia. Applicants who are registered as nurses in a country other than Australia must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification and may be admitted.

Graduate Certificate

Applicants for the graduate certificate must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution.

Graduate Diploma

Applicants for the graduate diploma must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution.

Alternatively, applicants must have completed the Graduate Certificate in Maritime Archaeology from Flinders University.

Masters

Applicants must normally hold an approved bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification) from an approved tertiary institution.

Masters (1.5 years)

Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in Archaeology; or hold an approved Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma (or equivalent qualification) in Archaeology (or a closely related discipline) from an approved tertiary institution; or hold an approved Honours degree in Archaeology (or a closely related discipline).

Applicants must normally hold a nursing degree or equivalent qualification, be registered nurses, and have a minimum of one year’s post-registration experience (six months of which must be in a relevant area).

Graduate Certificate

Applicants for the graduate certificate must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification in a health-related field from an approved tertiary institution.

Graduate Diploma

Applicants must normally hold an approved undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a related field.

Masters

Applicants must normally hold an approved degree or an equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution or one of the following:

• Graduate Certificate in Applied Gerontology
• Graduate Certificate in Palliative Care in Aged Care
• Graduate Diploma in Applied Gerontology, or the
• Graduate Diploma in Palliative Care in Aged Care.

Graduate Certificate

Applicants for the graduate certificate must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution in a health-related field.

Applicants undertaking the nursing stream must have a minimum of one year post-registration experience, and must be currently registered with the Australian Health PractitionerRegulation Agency as a registered nurse, with no restrictions on practice.

Graduate Diploma

Applicants for the graduate diploma must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution in a health-related field.

Applicants undertaking the nursing stream must have a minimum of two years’ post-registration experience, and must be currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a registered nurse, with no restrictions on practice.

Masters

Applicants for the Master of Remote and Indigenous Health who do not hold the Graduate Diploma in Remote Health Practice must normally hold an approved degree from an approved tertiary institution in a health-related field, and have three years’ experience working in a health-related field.

Applicants must hold a bachelor degree or equivalent from an approved tertiary institution.

Applicants must normally hold one of the following:

• an engineering degree
• an engineering degree (for later articulation to the Master of Engineering (Mechanical)) which must include study in Statistics or Vector Mechanics
• a science degree
• a medical science degree (for later articulation to the Master of Engineering (Biomedical), which must include study in biology, chemistry/materials and human physiology)
• a computer science or information technology degree (for later articulation to the Master of Engineering (Electronics), which must include study in either programming or digital electronics)
• a chemical sciences degree (for later articulation to the Master of Engineering (Materials), which must include study in chemistry/materials)
• an Australian TAFE Diploma or Advanced Diploma (AQF Level 5) qualification in an appropriate field plus seven years relevant work experience
• an equivalent international qualification.

In addition, whatever qualification is held, students are expected to be able to demonstrate previous study or recognised prior learning in communication and planning skills, mathematics (equivalent to first-year university mathematics), and science (equivalent to university undergraduate topics in chemistry and physics). Some basic knowledge of other relevant sciences will be assumed.

Graduate Certificate

Applicants for the Graduate Certificate in Education (Higher Education) must normally hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution. In addition, applicants must normally be employed in a teaching position in a higher education institution.

Masters 

Applicants must normally hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution. In addition, applicants must normally be employed in a teaching position in a higher education institution.

Masters (1.5 Years)

Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree in education, teaching or a closely related discipline. In addition, applicants must normally be employed in a teaching position in a higher education institution.

Additional entry requirements Applicants must also attend an audition involving participation in Classical Ballet, Contemporary Dance Technique, Repertory and Improvisation. The Audition Panel, comprising lecturing staff of the Adelaide College of the Arts and Flinders University and a physiotherapist, will assess and score each student. This score will form part of the non-academic criteria for admission at both TAFE SA and Flinders University. Applicants will be mailed an audition pack by TAFE SA once an application has been submitted and will be contacted to book an audition time. For applicants using their SACE (Year 12) results (or equivalent), entry is subject to achieving a minimum selection rank of 60. Applicants who do not meet the University’s minimum entry requirements may still be considered for admission subject to meeting certain conditions.
