Entry requirements

 

Admission to the course requires:

  • a medical degree from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification; and
  • a traineeship with the relevant surgical training program of RACS or equivalent; or
  • employment as resident medical officer in an Australian hospital, satisfactory interview, satisfactory references, and approval by Head of Discipline or their nominee; or
  • a Fellowship of the RACS.

For admission you will need to attend an interview with the Head of the Discipline of Surgery, or their nominee, whose approval you will need for admission to the course.
