As a graduate of the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) you will be recognised by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (PBA) and will be eligible to apply for registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) to practice physiotherapy within Australia. Please note: Meeting the minimum entry requirements does not guarantee admission. Places within the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) are limited. Quota size is determined by the availability of placements. Where the quota is filled, no further places will be offered.

You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 7.0 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

You may be eligible for recognition of prior learning if you have previously studied or have relevant work experience. This will help to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.

If you identify as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent you may be eligible to enter the Indigenous Higher Education (IHEPP) program.
This degree is made of 32 units and full-time typically involves completing eight units per year.
As part of the degree, you will need to complete professional experience placements. These experiences provide you with opportunities to put theory into practice.
All students must be able to meet the physical and other professional requirements of professional practice within this degree.
You will have the opportunity have a wide range of professional and clinical experiences while studying.
You will complete five clinical placement blocks, each five weeks in duration, to put your theory knowledge into action and learn from working professionals. Placements will be organised by the University and at least one will be in a regional, rural or remote area. Travel and living expenses incurred during placement will need to be paid by the students. Please note that students will need to purchase and wear a clinical uniform during clinical experiences and designated assessments Scholarships of up to $500 are available through Southern Queensland Rural Health and UniSQ's wellbeing team.
All students must be able to meet the physical and other professional requirements of professional practice within the degree.
