Master the key skills to help people and organisations reach their financial goals, with a focus on doing it sustainably and utilising the latest in financial software. In this course taught by financial experts, you'll pair expertise in managing risks and advocating for your clients with knowledge of emerging financial trends including cryptocurrency and blockchain analysis.

The major in Accounting and Finance will see you team up with your peers to work on a consulting project with a live client, using cutting-edge financial programming software, such as Python, Tableau and Xero. Be set up to make meaningful decisions for future organisations and clients with experience in key, industry-specific software.

In this degree, you'll gain knowledge about core business needs across an organisation and hear directly from guest speakers with a broad range of Business experience. Past speakers have included representatives from NAB, Genesis Group and Richmond Football Club.

This course is accredited by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), Certified Practicing Accounts (CPA) Australia.

 

Entry requirements

Completion or partial completion of an approved tertiary qualification (including diplomas, advanced diplomas, associate degrees and degrees). Additional performance criteria and prerequisite requirements may also apply.

Applicants without a formal qualification but with significant and relevant work experience and appropriate English language skills, or a suitable Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) result, will be considered if they can demonstrate that they can undertake the course with a reasonable prospect of success.
