The Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media - Animation provides students with an inspired approach to the creation of animation content for screen, media and design industries, placing emphasis on conceptual and technical aspects of the production process for animation. Major study areas focus on pre-visualisation, script writing, storyboarding, production pipeline for animation, including 2D and 3D animation, 3D modeling and character design, motion graphics, video and sound design, post-production and visual effects. Students at this level will be able to develop projects independently, collaborate with others, focus on a chosen area of interest and manage projects from conception to completion.

Year 12 applicants will typically apply for the Diploma of Screen and Media - Animation and progress to the Advanced Diploma level designed to further develop and refine knowledge and skills in the key areas of curriculum: concept development; script writing; 2D animation; 3D animation; character modeling and animation; production for screen; post-production; sound design; editing.
