Civil Construction Earthworks and Foundations skill set

Students will simulate roles as Civil Construction supervisors to support professional engineers in the design of construction works.

Project scenarios will be used covering key principles and practices of earthworks, and construction materials including concrete, steel and timber.

• schedule and estimation of construction tasks
• calculate foundation requirements
• manage a project schedule
• develop a job plan
• adjust job plan as required to ensure required outcomes are achieved
• review of project to improve safety, efficiency and effectiveness
