Topics covered include an overview of the Australian legal system, police interpreting, court interpreting, tribunals, and family violence interpreting. The short course is composed of presentations from experts in the legal field and experienced interpreters, and practical interpreting exercises to establish best practice when working in this field.

This professional development short course is run with the support of the Department of Premier and Cabinet, State Government of Victoria.

This program comprises a combination of one live interactive Zoom session and self-directed learning.
The live zoom session will be on Saturday, 10am-12pm, 23 October 2021.
