This practical, 2-day course covers the basics of health economics (health technology assessment) and common methods used for undertaking economic evaluations: decision analysis, Markov modelling, life table analysis and Monte Carlo simulation for uncertainty and sensitivity analyses. The course will involve 'hands-on' exercises using Microsoft Excel. (Participants will need to bring their own laptop computers.)
The course is suited to people who wish to get started in health economic modelling, including those from academia, government and industry.
