This brand new fully-online course provides access to industry-leading tools and insights to support health professionals in leading through an exciting but challenging transformation in the health industry.

The program draws on social cognitive neuroscience and behavioural economics to equip health leaders to:

  • define a new form of health leadership in a world that is rapidly transforming
  • apply new ways to lift individual and team performance (including shifting from being a 'great clinician/educator' to an 'outstanding leader'
  • humanise health education and healthcare delivery by creating positive teams and cultures that deliver world-class person-centred care.

For this course, Monash University is pleased to be partnering with NeuroPower Group; an Australian based, highly regarded international behavioural strategy firm, specialising in human behaviour, leadership, and the future of work in healthcare.

As changes across the health sector accelerate and intensify, leaders in healthcare education and practice face significant leadership challenges. How can we help individuals, teams, and whole organisations shift in fundamental and unprecedented ways to achieve/enhance outcomes within the hospital and community context?

The Evolving Health Leadership course equips leaders across the health sector to understand and prepare for seismic changes in healthcare education, service delivery and operations, and be active drivers of transformational shifts for their teams.

  • The role of leaders in the evolving world of work
  • The healthcare trends that need careful planning and navigation now
  • How to maximise your leadership judgement
  • The role of emotions in leadership decisions and interactions
  • The six key ingredients to enable performance (drawing on 30+ years of neuroscience)
