Course overview
The Certificate I in Spoken and Written English course aims to prepare students of a non-English speaking background with the English language skills needed to continue to other English as a Second Language (ESL) courses at a higher level.
This course is also delivered as part of the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP). The program helps new migrants learn basic English skills that will assist them to successfully and confidently participate socially and economically in Australian society. The AMEP is available to migrants from the family, skilled and humanitarian visa streams. An assessment prior to commencement will help determine at what level you join the course.

Can I Apply?
Yes you can. There are no pre-requisites for this course.
Once you have applied, you will need to contact the Vocational English Language Unit on 1300 675 676 to book an assessment interview which will determine current language and literacy levels and course eligibility.
Ongoing enrolments are available for government funded programs including the Adult Migrant English Program.
