Outline Outline STRP-GLOBL Global Engagement Stream is available in MC-GLOBL Master of Global Engagement and MC-GLOBL2 Master of Global Engagement (Advanced) courses.
This stream is designed to produce graduates who are highly competent and successful in global engagement. It targets people working or aiming to work globally across a range of sectors, industries and roles, as well as those engaging with diverse contexts locally and nationally. The course explores the interaction of global themes with the dynamic and diverse societies of our region across Asia, Africa and beyond and equips graduates with the knowledge and ability to critically understand the functions of different local, regional, and global contexts. The course develops expertise in the role of key historical, political, economic, geographic, social and cultural developments in shaping global and regional dynamics. It utilises concepts of power and positionality to train students to understand the nature of global interactions in nuanced ways. The course equips students with critical and practical skills to successfully navigate global engagement in ways that lead to more just futures in an era of global uncertainty and transition.

- Effective communication of oral and written arguments to different audiences pertaining to the dynamics, nuances, and epistemologies of contemporary global engagement through a variety of different worldviews, interpersonal, and intercultural skills, and ways of negotiating possible paths forward, GC3
- An advanced capacity to understand and navigate global engagement in responsible ways, acknowledging one's own values, cultural beliefs, practices, power relations, and worldviews and how these link to engagement with regional and global matters, GC4
